Neuqua Valley is thrilled to announce Josh Maluta as the Varsity Head Coach for the 2016 Lacrosse Season. Josh led the Neuqua Valley Junior Varsity Lacrosse Team to a strong 14-1 finish during the 2015 season, with their only loss being to New Trier. Neuqua graduated 9 seniors this past season and numbers look strong for the club moving forward. Depth of player talent continues to grow which means 2016 season looks to be promising for the Wildcats. Coach Maluta is focused on developing a strong and stable lacrosse program with continuity of coaching and intense focus on player development.

Josh is a 2007 graduate of Neuqua Valley High School and was a 3 year letter winner transitioning from midfield to attack in his junior year. His high school honors include being named to the All DuPage Conference Team and the Illinois All-Star Team. Josh's intensity on the field carried into the classroom where he was on the High Honor Roll each semester throughout all four years of high school.
Josh continued his play into college where he started at attack every game during his 4 years at Adrian College (Michigan). Josh holds multiple single season records along with holding records for total points and total assists. He helped his Bulldogs win the Midwest Conference Championship in 2010 and 2011 and was named to the All Midwest Conference Team both years. Josh also played in the USILA North/South All Star Game. Academically Josh excelled in school being named to the Dean's List every semester of his college career.
Coach Maluta began his coaching career, while still in school, working for Lacrosse America in 2006. More recently he has coached with area Illinois All Star Clubs such as Titanium Lacrosse and in 2011 and 2012 coached for True Lacrosse's summer and fall programs. Coach Maluta has been with Fox Valley Lacrosse Club for 4 years having coached 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Travel Teams.
Professionally Josh is heavily engaged in the lacrosse world as he works at 1223 Lacrosse. He coaches players from U-9 to the High School Varsity level in small group training sessions and private lessons. He is devoted to the game on and off the field and makes it his mission to develop athletes and promote the sport of lacrosse each and every day.
